“Findings narration week was the first time someone told me my observation buried the cash impact in paragraph three. I rewrite differently now.”Anonymous client in retail finance

Vendor Payment Audit Studio
Overview
Build a review you can defend
The Studio is App Platform Nest’s deepest path into financial auditing guidance for vendor payment review. You work a practice ledger from request through remittance, produce workpapers each week, and sit peer critique that challenges soft language.
Informational investment: Ledger Cohort pricing at ₩1,180,000 per seat. No checkout on this site — contact us to discuss the next open cohort.
Modules
What you work through
-
Payment-path mapping
Draw the real path from requisition to bank file in your organization — including the informal shortcuts people actually use.
-
Vendor master risk lens
Score change controls, duplicate detection, and dormant payees before you sample invoices.
-
Sampling design
Random, monetary-unit, and risk-weighted pulls — and when each one misleads.
-
Three-way match under stress
Practice with partial receipts, price overlays, and freight that never hits the PO.
-
Remittance trails
Reconcile advice notes, partial pays, and memo fields that hide reclassifications.
-
Findings narration
Write observations with control gap, cash impact, and named owner — then survive critique.
-
Live sample week
Bring a sanitized extract from your desk; instructors review structure, not your employer’s secrets.
Outcomes
What you should leave able to do
- Design a vendor payment sample with a written rationale
- Complete a workpaper that links invoice evidence to remittance
- Classify exceptions so month-end review is not a scavenger hunt
- Brief a finance lead without burying the cash impact
Instructor
Sora Kim
Former shared-services audit lead for a Korea-based industrial group. Sora designed Nest’s payment-path taxonomy and still marks Studio workpapers for clarity of control language.
FAQ
Do I need internal audit experience?
No. Strong AP or controllership experience is enough. You should already know how invoices move in your company; we teach how to review them with audit discipline.
Is the practice ledger based on Korean chart structures?
Yes — labels and approval patterns reflect mid-market Korea teams, while the method transfers to other ledgers.
What is a real limitation of this course?
We do not teach ERP configuration or warehouse process redesign. If your root issue is receiving discipline on the dock, the Studio will tighten the payment gate — it will not fix operations upstream. Learners who expect a software implementation project leave disappointed.
How does pricing work?
Ledger Cohort seats are listed informationally on our pricing page. Enrollment and payment are arranged offline after contact — this site has no checkout.

“Sampling design module was excellent. Foreign-currency vendors needed more airtime — we improvised with alumni channel tips afterward.”Eunji · Finance systems · Suwon
